Remarkably, we managed to end up almost exactly as scheduled for London-Edinburgh and the 24 hours!


Here's the weather chart.  There had been a few windy days, but afterwards John Dalton confirmed that Tuesday was the only day that would have been right. 


Next we have an account of the ride written by Mike Bloom - an interesting perspective.  And I was quite unaware of the goings-on in Coldstream!



And finally, a delightful letter from Eileen Sheridan.  Eileen broke the bicycle record (for women) from London to Edinburgh in 1954.  Still the record, with a time of 20h 11m 35s.
