Report of the Almost 100 - with Marina
Report of London Bath & back, failure - with Dave Schedule for London Bath & back and 12 hours
I had quite forgotten the plan we had for attempting the 12 hour record off the end of the Bath & back.
Seems like a crazy idea, but we never got to test if it was plausible.
Historic Bath Disaster (extracted from a recent Tricycle Association Gazette - I hope nobody minds it being included here)
I seem to remember George Lawrie telling me the story first hand back in the early 90s. Glad to have met him, 50 years on.
And now we reach that ride where we tried to do as many records as possible in one go. I'm aware that we could only realistically do this because most of our target were Lowest Standards rather than actual records, but we didn't take it easy. Indeed, as my Deadly Rival Dave Pitt said some years back, "It's not about how easy it was to break the record, it's about how tight a record you leave behind."
In this case, I think we left 3 good ones, one moderate one, and one easy one.

As if that wasn't enough, Marina and I also had an unused schedule in for Birmingham to London.
